Busy and lovely things have been happening here. In the busy column: Fashion Week came and went at Somerset House, turning the courtyard into a bit of a madhouse. It was an interesting spectacle, but I was glad to see it go, not being a huge fan of the industry. We also had a quick turnaround for a virtual exhibition project - mine was on devotional prints and their representation in paintings, if you're interested. Having never created an exhibition before it was somewhat difficult but fun to puzzle out.
The weather has been marvelous, and now that the project's done I'm happily taking advantage of it. I am sorry all you US people are having such a miserable winter; here the crocuses and daffodils are already pushing up in the parks. Daffodils and leeks also appeared on lapels for St. David's Day last week.
I had a wonderful visit with Jenny, who was over here for a couple of days. It was great to hit up some of the museums, parks, and markets I hadn't been to yet with her. I've also gone to some excellent concerts recently, ranging from classical music by candlelight to jazz in a crypt to modern indie-electro-jazzy-pop (or however you want to classify the tUnE-yArDs). I'm now of the opinion that the best way to hear jazz is underground, among old stone arches. That's most of what's been happening around here - stay tuned!
